Department Improvements 2020-2023

The Macedonia Parks and Recreation Department has been quite busy over the last three years working extremely hard to make improvements in every aspect of their operation. So, as 2022 came to a close, Director Jason Chadock and the rest of the Parks and Rec staff took some time to reflect on just how much progress has been made since he began his role mid-2020.

Year-long projects such as massive facility upgrades including new flooring, new pool heaters, and the renovation of fitness rooms, all allowed for a much-needed overhaul of the Recreation Center. However, these changes were not to be outdone by the staffing restructure designed to enhance customer service, improvements to our operations, or the completion of long-desired park improvements checked off the wish list.

While these tasks in and of themselves are substantial, they are merely a few bullet points on the department’s full list of achievements. Of course, plans aren't stopping there. With a full plan mapped out for 2024-2026, the next phase is just beginning.
