The Macedonia Fire Department hosted drone training on August 14 for the Summit County Incident Management Assistance Team (IMAT). Drone pilots from Macedonia, Twinsburg, Tallmadge, Green, Mogadore and Springfield gathered at Longwood Park to practice mapping and searching for objects while flying their drones at various altitudes. IMAT works to coordinate resources during emergencies, including the use of drone technology.
